Compliments: (elementary I know) they work so use em. Just don't be a complete cheese ball about it. Business Cards: great to have em but don't just have. www.name.com do something creative www.BooYaRememberMe.com (all you Domainers out there could get creative here)and of course have it 301 (permanent not temporary guys) over to your actual site/blog hybrid. Blog: Don't just talk about your views talk about you and what you like to do. Make it personal. Tell people about your sneakers or your favorite band. Give people gems of info don't hide and if they don't like you and can't get over the fact that you are a Pet Shop Boys fan... do you really want to network with them?
